OMEO Stainless Steel Insulated Tumbler

A double-wall vacuum tumbler in 18/8 stainless steel. The vacuum layer is what does the work — there is no air between the walls to carry heat in or out, so a hot drink stays hot and a cold one stays cold for hours rather than the twenty minutes you get from a single-wall cup.

The lid

Leak-resistant, which is an honest word and not the same as leak-proof. It will survive being upright in a bag, in a cup holder, on a desk next to a laptop. It is not designed to be thrown in a rucksack on its side and forgotten.

Two sizes

400ml is a large coffee — fits every standard cup holder.
550ml is roughly a pint — better for water through a working day, still fits most cup holders.

Cleaning

Wash by hand. The steel does not stain and does not hold the taste of yesterday's coffee, but dishwasher heat eventually dulls the exterior finish. The lid comes apart so you can get at the seal, which is the part that actually gets grubby.
